Liberal Blames Her Student Debt On What? Not Surprising But Still Stupid

The liberal media credits Bernie Sanders for bringing out a great deal of enthusiasm from the youth, but all I’ve seen is a great deal of insanity.

The left’s warped view of reality was on full display at a recent event held to support a $15 an hour national minimum wage at Portland State University. One woman gave a brief speech outlining the perpetrators behind her hardship: patriarchy, white supremacy, and even “hereto patriarchy.” Apparently even the left’s buzzwords keep expanding.

To except some of the barely-sensible speech:

“I’m drowning in over $60-80,000 of debt… And you know what? I’m not paying that shit off! We know this corrupt, decadent, white supremacist, capitalist patriarchy, hetero patriarchy, doesn’t give a s— about any of us who are pushing back against it… Because until the system is smashed, nobody that doesn’t look like me can have any fair chance in this society, and we know that. So until the system is smashed, it’s gunna stay the same… This is a corrupt capitalism system. Don’t feel the Bern, don’t fall for Hillary’s BS… “

You heard that right. After the “white supremacist capitalist patriarchy” forced her to take out $80k in student loans to attend college, they then forced her to give birth to a child. Apparently she was also forced into a useless major, as she earns under $15 an hour, while the average college graduate earns around $50k annually.

Her speech is more similar to something we’d expect from a conservative caricature of a liberal than a liberal whose thought through their views even slightly.

She says at one point that she doesn’t understand how she’s supposed to support a child earning under $15 an hour. Isn’t that something you’re supposed to think about before having children?

She also mocks the notion that she just needs to “work a little bit harder.” She has enough free time to advocate heavily for a $15 an hour minimum wage – a gig that ironically pays $0 an hour.

If the “system” these people want to smash is a system that at least somewhat shelters me from subsidizing the crappy life choices of others, I don’t see it as one worth smashing.
