It looks like the Target boycott has just reached EPIC proportions. Earlier in the week, I wrote a story about the 500,000 protesters targeting Target stores for the gender neutral bathroom. Now it seems that total has gone up to 1 million in just a couple days.
Not many parents would allow their children to go into a bathroom knowing the opposite sex can come in at any time which is what the new Target policy approves. I am not sure what Target was thinking when they approved of the bathroom change but it will hurt business across America as we see here with the increased number of protesters.
From Fox News:
More than one million people have decided they will no longer buy their Nutter Butters or Wet Wipes at Target.
The American Family Association launched a boycott of the nation’s second largest retailer a week ago – over Target’s corporate policy allowing men who identify as women to use the bathrooms and fitting rooms of their choosing.
American Family Association, one of the most prominent and respected family advocacy groups in the nation, warned that Target’s policy puts women and children in danger.
“Nearly everyone has a mother, wife, daughter or friend who is put in jeopardy by this policy,” AFA President Tim Wildmon said. “Predators and voyeurs would take advantage of the policy to prey on those who are vulnerable.”
And it’s pretty clear that more than a million customers agree with the American Family Association.
“Everybody knows it’s wrong for men to use the same bathrooms and fitting rooms with little girls,” Wildmon told me. “Target has decided they don’t care about the vast majority. They only care about the tiny, tiny minority.”
Watch this congressman speak out against Target’s policy:
These Americans are not only angry, they are passionate about this bad policy by Target:
The public will not stand for gender neutral bathrooms when their children are at risk. The North Carolina legislation that was passed a couple of weeks ago is not popular around the nation.
If you have to feel ‘Scared’ every time you go to a bathroom at a department store, then it changes how you feel about that store overall. Women are the primary shoppers in all these department stores. Target and others are telling us they do not care about the majority of people who shop there. Maybe there will be enough ‘transgenders’ to support your businesses, but it will not be with me.
