Ted Cruz Mops the Senate Floor With Mitch McConnell When He Tells THIS MAJOR Lie!

Capture

This – this is the candidate conservatives love – a man with the combination of Donald Trump’s fiery attitude, and the measured reason and intellect of a Ben Carson.

Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor earlier today and did something that most politicians would never do publicly – he called out a fellow RINO Republican for lying to him.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was the subject of Cruz’s ire, for setting up a reauthorization bill for┬áthe Export-Import Bank of the United States. Cruz, like many conservatives, oppose the bank’s reauthorization.

Cruz asked McConnell if he had struck a deal for the vote with Democrats:

We had a Senate Republican lunch where I stood up and I asked the majority leader very directly, what was the deal that was just cut on [trade] legislation, and was there a deal for the Export-Import Bank? It was a direct question. I asked the majority leader in front of all the Republican senators. The majority leader was visibly angry with me that I would ask such a question, and the majority leader looked at me and said, “There is no deal, there is no deal, there is no deal.”

Cruz noted that McConnell repeated the ‘no deal’ assertion three times, “like Saint Peter.”

And like Saint Peter, Cruz says, McConnell lied.

Via Business Insider:

In an impassioned speech on the Senate floor on Friday, Cruz railed against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), who he accused of lying to him about the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank.

“I cannot believe that he would tell a flat-out lie,” Cruz said.

“We now know that when the majority leader looks us in the eyes and makes an explicit commitment that he is willing to say things that he knows are false,” he added.

It’s an extraordinary accusation rarely levied in such public fashion.┬áSenate rules also say that no senator “in debate shall, directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another senator or to other senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a senator.”

Somebody call a doctor for Mitch McConnell, because he just got absolutely annihilated!

Comment: Do you agree with Ted Cruz calling out the Majority Leader on the Senate Floor, or should it have been done privately?

Bravo for Ted Cruz! It’s about time someone spoke out about the corruption by our leaders which does more damage than anything else! Yes, Ted was right to call out McConnell on the floor! It is because of all the corruption America is headed for ruin-everyone knows it and sees it, except the crooked politicians who keep fanagling the system! All I ask is that every House and Senate member open their eyes and see the damage that’s been done to our country, because of the evil they commit! If you really want to be our representatives, act like it! Stop putting America in danger!

Cronyism the appointment of friends and associates to positions of authority without proper regard to their qualifications. Romans 3:12
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

  3. Tom says:

Yes he did the right thing. It’s past time the leaders like Obama that lie and lie and lie be let known
to the people they are not respecting the constitution and that our nation is being slowly turned over to the Muslims and that spells disaster

  4. Terry says:

Senator Cruz called it right on. We can’t trust House Leader Boehner nor can we trust Senate Leader McConnell. They both are liars and work behind doors with Obama to give the president exactly what he wants no I believe Cruz has exposed them all and the next step is to show them both the door and elect new leadership.

  5. David says:

To call a liar a liar seems appropriate anywhere and anytime. To do so in private is to dodge the issue. The RINO republican senate leader is hurting all true conservatives and many others as well.

  6. Roy says:

    about time somebody say something

  7. Jerry says:

Absolutely I agree. They are in public office. A lie is a lie, not a misunderstanding, Period!!

  8. Meredith says:

  9. Mellissa says:

Transparency is needed on every level. It’s time for all liars to be exosed. Ted Cruz did the right thing. Now I call on all politicians to follow suit. We, the People are no longer willing to remain silent and watch as you run roughshod over us, sell us out to terrorists and illegal aliens, and squander our children’s future. You were elected to represent us – If you refuse to do that, we will elect someone who will.

  10. Elizabeth says:

One thing you get from Cruz is the truth. This is a commodity very rarely seen on Capital Hill. He is the real deal, integrity. Iintelligence and a greater love for his country than what is or has been the typical marching orders of the day. Don’t expect him to blindly follow….he’s a leader.

    1. Gary says:

It’s a shame we have to thank someone for telling the truth but that is not the Senator’s fault. Thank you Mr. Cruz
