This Protest Picture Is Going VIRAL But Nobody Expected THIS!

This photo has gone viral over the past couple of days as it took place during protests for the killing of Alton Sterling in Louisiana. Many are calling this young lady a hero.

Please. It’s obvious this person was “grandstanding” as she knew she was in no real danger… telling her friends in advance of her plan.

It’s pure media spin once again. Someone needs to ask Time magazine why was this picture on their front page for literally 24 hours? It’s a photo op.

She went to the protest wearing that dress, and defied the police for the sole purpose of getting arrested and having this photo taken of her.

You know how there’s movies that are called “Oscar bait” because they appear to have been produced for the sole purpose of earning Oscar nominations? This is “Pulitzer bait.” Time to move on.

From Time Magazine:

Although the woman’s identity is not yet confirmed, her actions were described in detail by the photographer who captured the image.

“A group of demonstrators had formed a blockade — blocked Airline Highway, which runs in front of Baton Rouge Police headquarters,” Jonathan Bachman, a New Orleans–based photographer who was on assignment for Reuters, told the Atlantic. Bachman said officers belonging to several divisions of Louisiana law enforcement, many clad in riot gear, descended on the highway to clear the protesters from its path.

“I saw this woman, and she was standing in the first lane on that road,” he said. “It happened quickly, but I could tell that she wasn’t going to move, and it seemed like she was making her stand. To me it seemed like: You’re going to have to come and get me.”

Bachman further stressed that in contrast to the violence and confrontation that has marked other protests across the country (some of which also broke out in Baton Rouge later), this interaction was entirely peaceful.

“It wasn’t very violent. She didn’t say anything,” he added. “She didn’t resist, and the police didn’t drag her off.”

I understand this woman’s stance; however, no one (no matter their skin color or religion) can disobey the law. If you don’t think a law is right get it changed. Yes, that’s hard to do but if you really think that you are right, do the hard thing but do it the right way.

How about the photo of the police officers that were killed protecting the protestors? How about the children of those officers shot in the line of fire? Does anyone even know their names? Why does the media get to dictate what we care about?

Doesn’t it seem like the nation has gone off the cliff under Barack Obama? Do you think this woman was brave or was this a publicity stunt? Share your voice in the comments section below. Help support conservative news and views by sharing this post on Facebook and Twitter.
