Within days of a newspaper publisher declaring that Obama is not welcome in Roseburg, Oregon, site of the recent community college shooting, and days after family members of some of the victims blasted the President for his “gun agenda,” thousands of patriots in the same town are preparing to rally against the Commander-in-chief’s planned visit.
A Facebook page has appeared called Defend Roseburg- Deny Barack Obama, which has plans to protest the President’s visit after he used the shooting to call for further gun control in America.

Meanwhile, a Facebook page called “Defend Roseburg — Deny Barack Obama” emerged this week outlining plans for a protest at 11 a.m. on Friday before the president’s early afternoon arrival.
So far, 7,600 people have indicated that they will be “going” to the rally, and another 3,400 have said “maybe.”
The organizers stress that they want a peaceful protest and have asked those attending to behave in an appropriate manner so that 2nd Amendment supporters are not put in a bad light.
The organizers posted this brief explanation of their event:
The anointed one his majesty king 0bama and the White House have announced a Friday arrival in Roseburg, Oregon in the wake of Oct 1st’s horrific tragedy at UCC.
Polarizing as usual, Mr 0bama has insisted on politicizing the event as a conduit for increased executive orders on gun control via means of his pen, and his phone.
This blatant disrespect of the victims families, the community and the town of Roseburg, Mr Obama’s administration is flying not just the 747 that is airforce one to Oregon, but a three helicopter team of Sikorsky’s that make up HMX-1, known as Marine one to travel to Roseburg at the taxpayers expense.
We need a lot of people. Please come show your support for Roseburg, not the little man who has no respect for the Constitution.
As of the time of this posting, the number of people scheduled to attend has risen to over 8,000.
Newspaper publisher David Jacques recently suggested the President would not be welcome in Roseburg, and this reaction to the rally seems to bear that out.
He blasted the President for politicizing last week’s shooting, saying “It shows not only a total disdain and disregard for our constitution, but for our very citizens — especially those of us here in Douglas County.”
Now, residents will be peacefully showing their disdain and disregard for Obama himself.
