Oh, what a complete disaster Jill Stein’s recount efforts have been. She’s looking for a recount in three battleground states where Trump won: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Pennsylvania’s State Department said Stein missed the deadline for a recount by a week, making it mathematically impossible for her to flip the necessary amount of electoral votes to change the results of the election.
Not only that, now Stein’s facing yet another roadblock in Michigan that could end her recount efforts there as well. As Politico reported earlier today, “Michigan’s attorney general has filed a lawsuit to stop a recount of the presidential election results requested by Green Party nominee Jill Stein, his office announced on Friday.”
As for Wisconsin, hows her recount going there? Hilarious.
The first day of Wisconsin’s presidential recount narrowed the gap between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President-elect Donald Trump by precisely one vote.Trump defeated Clinton in Wisconsin’s initial tally by about one percent, or just over 22,000 votes. Nevertheless, Green Party candidate Jill Stein (who finished a very distant fourth) is demanding a full recount after suggesting fraud or technological glitches may have swayed the results. In response to Stein’s demand, Wisconsin began recounting all its ballots Thursday.
