This is not my mother’s “Good Morning America” from the 1970s, ’80s and early ’90s, when David Hartman, Nancy Dussault, Sandy Hill, Joan Lunden, Steve Bell, Sawyer, Gibson and others were hosting and anchoring. Congrats to Michael Strahan on becoming a permanent co-host of “GMA” this fall alongside Roberts, Stephanpoulous, Spencer, Robach and Ginger Zee, but you could have done it better bro.
I really don’t watch their ‘feel-good’ show in the morning, but from what I hear, he didn’t act like he wanted to be there. It seems like fans are split on liking either of them and missing the days when it was hosted by Regis and Kathie Lee.
Strahan’s Tuesday announcement that he was moving to a new show shocked Ripa who was completely in the dark about it and she responded this morning in a huge way. She deserved a heads up from her producers. What happened was a crude insult. Bad form. I don’t fault Strahan for how this was announced.
Kelly Ripa was a no-show on Wednesday for “Live! With Kelly and Michael” after news broke that co-host Michael Strahan was leaving for a full-time gig on “Good Morning America.”
Strahan made the news official on Wednesday’s show, announcing his departure on “Live!” with guest host Ana Gasteyer, reported TMZ.
“We broke the story Kelly was told at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, just as the announcement was being blasted out to the media … and she was outraged,” said TMZ. “We’re told Kelly feels disrespected and humiliated that she wasn’t given the courtesy of a heads-up. Our sources say she may not show for the foreseeable future.”
“I really want to thank Kelly Ripa,” Strahan said. “She has been an amazing influence on me, and truly changed my life. Kelly, I thank you, I love you, and everyone else here at ‘Live!'”
Strahan acknowledged a possible controversy, admitting that he’s “been in the news lately,” but told the audience the move will not happen until September, said Deadline.
TMZ said the relationship between Ripa and Strahan had been on the rocks and was deepened by her being kept in the dark by his departure.

I think the morning talk/chat shows are becoming extinct. they are of a different age and their relevancy is not sustainable. The View, The Talk and The Wendy Williams Show are unwatchable.
These shows lessen IQ scores of the viewers and are not meant for the conservative brain. They should come with a warning label.
Do you watch Kelly and Michael? Do you think it was the network’s fault for the miscommunication or should Michael have told his partner before the news was released publicly? Share your comments (below) and let us know what you think.
