Two Unlikely, But Adorable Friends Romping in the Wild

Sure, they are both meat eaters with razor-sharp claws and would likely kill you if you got near them … but they sure are cute.

Meet one of the oddest partnerships ever seen in nature … a grey wolf and a brown bear. And since being published earlier this week, these photographs have melted the hearts of people across the globe.

Typically, wolves and bears are enemies, as they often fight for the same food and territory. But somehow, in the wilds of Northern Finland, this particular wolf has struck up a partnership with the unlikeliest of friends.

Sadly, we don’t know how exactly these two enemies became partners and companions. One theory, put forward by the man who took the photos, Lassi Rautiainen, is that they were both abandoned by their respective mothers and learned to work together to survive.

“It seems to me that they feel safe being together, and so every evening met up for their dinner,” he speculated.

Let us know what you think about this adorable pair below.
