NFL Player Shows Off His Opera Voice, Nails ‘Ave Maria’ For This Awesome Charity!

Justin Tucker

It’s not every day that football and opera go hand-in-hand, but that’s exactly what happened when Baltimore Ravens kicker, Justin Tucker, attended a Catholic Charities fundraiser and belted out his version of the classic ‘Ave Maria,’ pleasantly surprising the crowd in attendance.

Via the Baltimore Sun:

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker brought his pipes to a charity Christmas concert Thursday in Baltimore.

The special guest performer at Catholic Charities’ Christmas Festival Thursday evening belted out “Ave Maria” before a packed house at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Mount Vernon.

“The whole event, the whole concert was truly a blessing to be a part of in such a small way for me,” Tucker said. “All the musicians were so talented and there was a great turnout, and it was all for a great cause, which makes it that much better.”

The charity concert was designed to raise money to help support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Tucker is one of the top kickers in the NFL, and also a devout Catholic who makes the Sign of the Cross before every field goal attempt.
