Here’s a story of a mother down on her luck, and the good Samaritan who gave her something to be thankful for this holiday season.
A young mother at an Alabama doctor’s office couldn’t afford the co-pay for her son’s visit. She had to bring her son in to help get him back in good health, but the woman was so down on her luck that she had to debate between using what little money she had for the co-pay or put it towards dinner for her children.
That’s when the good Samaritan stepped in.
Via Fox News Insider:
The stranger, overhearing the conversation in the doctor’s office, handed an envelope to Melissa Simms’ son with a $100 bill and a note inside.
“I’ve had days like you are having today. Hang in there,” wrote the woman.
She then cited Joshua 1:9 from the Bible.
That particular passage from the Bible reads:
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
It seemed God was with her in the form of the good Samaritan. In fact, the woman was so moved that she shared the story on social media and called the mystery woman her “Earthly Angel.”
