Wedding Forced to Accommodate Obama’s Golf Games and Campaign Rallies

President Barack Obama apologized to a military couple after causing them to move their wedding ceremony to accommodate the President’s golf game last month.

The couple, Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr., were told by the golf course on Marine Corps Base Hawaii that they would have to move their wedding venue away from the location they had booked because the President was planning to play golf. They were given less than 24 hours notice.

The President did end up calling the couple to apologize, and said that the golf course hadn’t notified the President or his staff about the mix-up.

Watch the President’s call to the newlyweds here:

This isn’t the first time that the President has crashed wedding plans. In 2012, a couple in Des Moines, Iowa had to reschedule their wedding due to an Obama campaign rally. The newlyweds got a silver tray as a gift from Obama, but said that they would have preferred a lifetime tax exemption.

What would be your reaction to Obama crashing your wedding?
