I Can’t Believe What THIS Military Officer Did To My Country!

When I was in the U.S. Military, I never thought about betraying my country, ever! It never entered my mind to turn my back on a country I felt so loyal to. This selfish act by this Navy officer hits me in the gut because there is always a way out and he took the wrong path and for that he must be punished!

Lt. Cmdr. Edward C. Lin, a US Naval flight officer, has been charged with multiple counts of espionage and is accused of spying for China. The story was broken by USNI News.

According to the organization’s report, Lin is accused of passing classified information to a foreign entity and then lying about his whereabouts. Details about the case are currently few and far between as much of the information Lin is accused of passing along is classified.

GOP front-runner Donald Trump has been talking about China and what they have been doing to the United States throughout this entire election season. Now place this in that conversation and the stakes get even higher.

From Navy.mil:

“I always dreamt about coming to America, the ‘promised land,’” he said. “I grew up believing that all the roads in America lead to Disneyland.”

“Whether it is economical, political, social or religious reasons,” Lin said. “I do know that by becoming a citizen of the United States of America, you did it to better your life and the life of your family.”

Lin worked on the Lockheed Martin E-P3E Aries II reconnaissance aircraft and would have likely had knowledge about the United States’ reconnaissance operations being carried out by U.S. Pacific Fleet.

Lin has apparently been held by the Navy for the last eight months due to the accusations, however, the case is just now coming to the public eye as court proceedings are beginning to take place, the first of which was on Friday. Both the FBI and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) are investigating the extent of the espionage.

Lin was the subject of a Navy.mil story back in 2008 when he gave and impassioned speech about becoming an American citizen (he and his family immigrated from Taiwan) before joining the Navy.

You know what’s really crazy, this man might hang for sharing secrets with one foreign government. Hillary Clinton shared secrets with every country in the world and she has a good chance of being our next Commander-In-Chief. It’s weird how that works. I guess when more than half the electorate have the intellect of imbeciles, anything can happen.

We’re supposedly “At war” with al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups like ISIS. Espionage during wartime requires a firing squad. Sort this guy out.

I know I might have been a lot more passionate in this story than others but I take protecting my country a lot more seriously than these traitors.

What do you think should happen to this traitor (sorry, I won’t call him a military soldier because of his actions). Share your comments (below) and let me know what you think.
