Here’s a question every politician should be able to answer: What’s your number one accomplishment? But after appearing on CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, it seems this is a question Hillary Clinton is unable to answer.
Carly Fiorina, she said if you want to stump a Democrat she said ask them about Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments as Secretary of State. If you were on that debate stage with her, what would you say was your number one accomplishment as Secretary of State?
And for what Hillary says her number one accomplishment was? Well, she doesn’t seem to say what exactly that is in her response:
…I don’t really pay a lot of attention to this kind of rhetoric that heats up the debate stage. They’re all trying to vie for more attention from obviously the Republican Party. I’m going to let them decide how best to do it. But if anybody’s interested, you know, there’s a long list about what I have done. And I’m very proud of it. You can read my book Hard Choices, read about how I negotiated a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. You can read about how I put together the coalition that led to international sanctions against Iran. You can read about what I did when I was First Lady, to get the children’s health insurance program or as senator working across the aisle on issues like getting better health care for our veterans. You know, this is just the silly season. I am looking forward to eventually debating on that stage whoever they finally nominate once they get around to doing that.
So she can’t list her number one accomplishment, but knows that it can be found in her book somewhere. Even some of the so-called “accomplishments” she lists are questionable. What cease fires between Israel and Hamas is she bragging about? The one’s that Hamas perpetually violates?
The question shouldn’t have caught Hillary off guard, as it’s not the first time she’s been asked it. Back in June of 2014 Diane Sawyer asked Hillary a similar question, “What significant things did she accomplish during her four years as Secretary of State?” Hillary responded by changing the subject.
Her supporters are equally clueless. A reporter from Bloomberg posed the question “What did she accomplish that you consider significant as secretary of state?” to a focus group of Iowa Democrats. Much like Hillary, not one person was able to answer the question.
Hillary’s supporters can’t list her accomplishments, and neither can she. Help get the word out about Hillary by sharing this article with your friends and family on social media.
