Well, this isn’t good news for Hillary Clinton. One of her closest aides, Huma Abedin, who was in close contact with Hillary the night of the Benghazi terrorist attack, has been placed on ISIS’s hit list.
The Islamic State announced in the latest issue of its propaganda magazine Dabiq that longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin is on its hit list.
The terrorist group identified Abedin and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), who are Muslims, as “overt crusaders.” The Islamic State claimed Abedin and Ellison enforce laws of kufr — apostasy — and called for their deaths.
“[O]ne must not overlook the overt crusaders, those who don’t even wear the cloak of da’wah [evangelism], but instead directly involve themselves in politics and enforcing the laws of kufr, like (in the US) Mohamed Elibiary, Arif Alikhan, Rashad Hussain, Keith Ellison, Huma Abedin, etc. and (in the UK) Muhammad Abdul Bari, Sayeeda Warsi, Waqar Azmi, Sajid Javid, Ajmal Masroor, and other politically active apostates,” the group wrote in Rajab, the 14th issue of the magazine.
The group continued, questioning how Muslims in the West can say they’ve surrendered themselves to Allah but stand by as Muslim political leaders preach “their poison from atop their pulpits.”
The Islamic State said one must either join the fight as a guerrilla insurgent or wage jihad alone “to kill the crusaders and other disbelievers and apostates,” insisting that they are reasonable targets based on sharia, or Islamic law.
Ellison dismissed the report on Wednesday and blasted the Islamic State, also known as Daesh, as “a collection of liars, murderers, torturers, and rapists.”
“As millions of faithful Muslims flee Daesh’s imposed nightmare they call a ‘caliphate’, Daesh takes the time to threaten Muslim public servants in the West, like myself and my friend Huma Abedin,” he said in a statement. “Daesh is a collection of liars, murderers, torturers, and rapists. No Muslim I know recognizes what they preach as Al-Islam. The fact that I’m on Daesh’s bad side means I am fighting for things like justice, tolerance, and a more inclusive world.”
Other articles in the magazine include an embrace of the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels and an essay purporting to be from John Cantlie, a British journalist taken hostage in November 2012 and thought to be still alive.
