A New Jersey woman claimed that a police officer yelled at her, pulled a gun on her, and falsely accused her of running a stop sign back in October.
According to local media reports:
The motorist, identified as Hyacinth Peccoo, 50, went to Pequannock headquarters on Oct. 28 and said she wished to make a complaint about an officer that stopped her for a motor vehicle infraction on Oct. 15. She met with Detective Lt. Michael Fairweather, the department’s internal affairs officer, and said she was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Of course, like nearly all traffic stops nowadays, it was recorded on the officer’s dash-cam. When Fairweather reviewed the tape he saw something very different than what Peccoo claimed.
Watch the video below:
In the video, she can clearly be seen running a stop sign near her house. The officer who pulled her over then has a courteous encounter while issuing her a citation. Peccoo has been arrested on charges of filing a false report.
