An Easter Egg Hunt is one of the most popular Easter Sunday activities for millions of kids across the country, but this year, one town’s Easter Egg Hunt took a horrible turn with THIS discovery!
In Salmon Creek, Washington, a neighborhood’s annual hunt ended abruptly by a huge marijuana bust!
Witnesses said a man started screaming that his roommates were going to shoot him and police quickly responded.
Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies said the disturbance was related to an ongoing large-scale unlicensed marijuana distribution operation.
“The operation was headquartered in a neighborhood home and it is believed that deliveries were occurring across the United States,” said Commander John Horch, with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
As police arrived, the families involved in the Easter egg hunt dispersed.
Detectives said they found more than 45 pounds of processed marijuana – worth a street value of over $202,000 – inside the home at 13318 NE 3rd Court.
Investigators also seized more than $108,000 in suspected drug proceeds, along with documents and materials related to the trafficking of marijuana.
Suspects Charles Yorkovich, 24, of Vancouver; Joseph Sullivan, 24, of Vancouver and Jordan Long, 27, of Vancouver were arrested at the scene and booked into the Clark County Jail.
