You Won’t Believe What Happens in this Hospital Waiting Room!

It happens in restaurants, subways, grocery stores… in fact, it happens quite a bit in public places. Some people whisper on the phone but others act like they’re the only one in the room. Watch (above) what happens when one woman engages in a loud conversation on her cell phone in a hospital waiting room.

I think it’s a sure bet that we’ve all experienced the person who yucks it up rudely without a care.

What would you have done in this situation? Please share this friendly message!

Sorry to disagree, but destroying her phone, which may be worth several hundred dollars, is the wrong way to teach her a lesson. Because of your heat of the moment, non proportional response, you now become legally responsible for replacing her phone. When it’s all said and done, it costs you several hundred dollars to shut her up. You end up with a few minutes of peace and quiet and the offender ends up with a brand new cell phone. Who won that small battle? Obviously the rude woman with the brand new phone came out on top.

If your goal is to stop the woman’s rude behavior, what’s the best way to do it? Interrupt her conversation and ask her politely to hang up the phone. If she ignores your request, ask her again, much less politely. If she continues to ignore you, confiscate her phone and turn it off. Return her phone when she, or you, are called to leave the waiting room.

I would have grabbed it and broke it in half before the other lady did. How rude.

To many people just like her!
