You Won’t Believe What This NFL Superstar Said About God and Sex

sex

During a live question and answer session recently, Super Bowl winning quarterback Russell Wilson confessed that he and his girlfriend have decided to do it the ‘Jesus way,’ vowing to stay abstinent until marriage should they pursue that path.

Wilson has been dating Grammy Award-winning R&B artist, Ciara since late April.

Wilson explained the decision to San Diego pastor Miles McPherson…

Via Billboard:

“She was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me,” Wilson told the pastor. “He said, ‘I need you to lead her.’

“I told her, ‘What would you do if we took all that “extra stuff” off the table, and just did it Jesus’ way?'” the quarterback continued, clarifying that yes, he was “talking about sex.”

Wilson said the 29-year-old singer “completely agreed,” though he admitted that refraining from sex wasn’t easy. “I ain’t gonna lie to y’all now — I need you to pray for us,” he told the congregation. “I know y’all have seen her on the screen. If there’s a 10, she’s a 15.”

Watch a clip from the interview…

Wilson recently made headlines off the field, but not for the wrong reasons as so many NFL players do. Instead, he showed off his Christian values a bit when he saw a soldier lugging his bags back to coach on a shared flight, and immediately upgraded his seat to first class.

What will be interesting to see is, if Wilson gets mocked for his Christian values in the same way that Tim Tebow has been throughout his career.

Remember when Tebow announced his vow of abstinence? An anti-religious nut almost immediately offered $1 million for any woman who could provide undeniable proof that she’d had sex with him.

Will they do the same to Russell Wilson?

Comment – If Wilson is attacked for his religious beliefs like Tim Tebow was, it’d be good to hear from folks like yourself offering support. Please add your comments supporting Russell Wilson and Ciara’s Christian lifestyle below.

You go, guys! I hope the two of you do marry, because your children would be people of character and physically stunning.

  2. Toni says:

Mitchell, you dumb clunker! You don’t even know the difference between “Christian” and “religion”, yet vomit your ignorance out for all to see. I’d put the odds at about 95% you are homosexual.

Have some regard for your family even if not for yourself. Remain silent unless you actually have a 1st grade grasp of the topic at hand. I realize that will severely limit your commenting, and you will get fewer “LOOK AT ME!” opportunities, but non-foolish and non-stupid might just be something you would enjoy.

Great Job and if you had sex before confess to the Lord and He will forgive You don’t listen to people let the Lord judge You thats what counts God Bless You

  4. Mitchell says:

Showing off Christian values like abstinence is as awful a reason to make headlines off the field as any other. Religion is responsible for more murder, mutilation, torture(physical, mental, and emotional), pedophilia, lying, manipulation of the masses for personal gain, and covering up the crimes of it’s officers and hiding and protecting those fugitives, than any other organization or anything else in the history of mankind. Everyone is capable of causing harm, and almost everyone does, intentional or otherwise, but to be really evil, one needs to be sure that God is on your side, then even the most heinous of atrocities is sanctified, and people will joyful engage in those cruelties where without God they would recoil in horror. When mankind finally emancipates himself from religion, he will truly be on the path to maturity. I hope he does so soon. Before it’s too late.
