Democrats Are Playing With American Lives By Blocking THIS Legislation!

Zika virus

Blocking this life-saving bill because they can’t get more money to kill babies, smh. Their sick allegiance to the abortion God is complete.

Democrats are not a part of the solution; they are the problem. As usual, they block all proposals by the Republicans, and when Harry Reid was running the show, he kept all proposals from Republicans from coming to the floor for discussion and heaven forbid for a vote. And when Democrats can’t get their way what do they do? They hold an ILLEGAL sit-in. Disgraceful.

From The Hill:

Senate Democrats on Tuesday blocked a deal providing funding for the fight against the Zika virus, virtually guaranteeing that Congress won’t get legislation to President Obama’s desk this month.

In a 52-48 vote, the Senate fell eight votes short of moving past a procedural hurdle against the House-Senate conference report on a military and veterans spending bill, which includes $1.1 billion to fund the Zika virus research.Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) broke with his party and backed moving forward with the deal. GOP Sens. James Lankford (R-Okla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell(R-Ky.) voted against the Zika deal. McConnell’s “no” vote allows him to bring the measure back up for another vote.

The vote leaves the current fight over the Zika virus at a standstill with days left before the July 4th recess.

Democrats criticized the legislation for including “poison pills” that they said made it difficult for their party to support.

The legislation would take money now earmarked for the fight against the Ebola virus to use against Zika.

It also would restart a fight over Planned Parenthood with language that prevents funding from going to the group, which provides abortion services, and other family planning groups.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the agreement is “the most irresponsible legislation I have ever seen in my 34 years in Congress.”

“I don’t know what planet my friend the Republican leader is living on,” he added. “[The] conference report is nothing more than a goody bag for the fringes of the Republican Party.”

Once again Congress has taken a worthy cause and turned it into a political football. Anything to advance their agenda. And as if cuts to women’s health was not enough, they added relaxing regulations on spraying pesticides. I guess the NRA is not the only lobbying group that owns Congress.

What would it take? Honestly, removing lobbyists and corporate finance out of the government…..holding the media to a journalistic integrity instead of opinionated rhetoric and bias…oh yeah..and people need to wake up and arm themselves with facts, knowledge and hold our public servants to a higher standard….but…I think we’re too far gone as a society to bring back those expectations.

What do you think should happen? How should the public go after the Democrats on this one? Will anyone say anything? Share your opinions below and let us know what you are thinking. Add this story to your Facebook and Twitter page.
